Privacy and terms

Plain language, in force from the day we open. Please read it before you create a profile.

What we keep

Your account email and a scrambled form of your password (we cannot read it). The profile details you enter: name, birth year, height, marital status, mother tongue, city, education, work, diet, the text you write, and a family phone number. If you report a profile, we keep your report. We also store the profile photos you upload. For a photo check, we collect a camera selfie after your explicit consent, the selected comparison photo, consent version and time, and the admin review decision.

Who sees what

You may optionally add your permanent hometown, family location, parents' details and number of siblings. These appear in your approved profile for authorized members. Share only town/city, state and country for locations, without a street address or private contact details.

Other approved members see a shortened name, age, city and the details you wrote. They do not see your email, birth year or phone number. Your full name and family phone number are shared with one family only when both sides have accepted each other's interest. Admins who review profiles and look after the service can see everything in your profile, including your phone number and email.

Private selfie photo checks

The bride or groom must take the selfie, even if a relative manages the account. Only the account holder and admins may access it; it never appears in browsing or the profile gallery. An admin visually compares it with the selected approved profile photo. This does not verify legal identity, age, community membership, marital status, background or liveness. Photos and camera capture can be spoofed.

Access to each selfie ends 30 days after submission. Its private image is scheduled for automatic deletion at that time; storage cleanup can take an additional day or occasionally longer. We retain minimal consent and review records to explain the photo-check decision. Rejected or deleted comparison photos invalidate verification. Account deletion also removes private verification selfies.

Profile review

We record your confirmation that the bride or groom belongs to the Mahyavanshi community and has agreed to the profile. Admins record the basis and date of their declaration review separately from photo comparison. Declaration review is not documentary proof of identity or community membership. You must verify your email before uploading a photo or selfie. India phone OTP will be introduced after SMS setup; it is not active yet.

Accepting an interest shares your full name and phone number with that family, and theirs with you. The website asks you to confirm this before accepting.

Both admin profile approval and an approved private selfie photo comparison are required before your profile is shown to other members. No phone verification call is required. Your family phone number is kept for contact sharing after both sides accept an interest. If you change key details such as your name, age, phone number, work, education or about text, your profile may need another admin review.

Photo visibility

Choose All approved members or Only connected members in My photos. With Only connected members, other members receive a blurred preview instead of your original photo until an interest is accepted. You and the review team retain access to original photos. Changing this setting cannot recall photos already seen or saved by others.

Blocking profiles

You can block a profile to stop both members from viewing each other’s profile, photos and contact details or sending invitations. Existing invitations and connections end. We store the two profile IDs and the time of the block. Only you can manage the profiles you block. Unblocking does not restore old connections or contact access; a new invitation must be accepted. Contact details already seen or copied cannot be recalled. Blocking does not replace reporting, and the review team can still access profiles to investigate reports. Blocks are removed when either profile is deleted.

What we do not do

We do not sell your details, show adverts, or share them with anyone outside the service, except where the law requires it.

Deleting your data

After a deletion request is accepted, all sessions are revoked and cleanup is retried automatically if storage removal is interrupted. You receive a deletion reference. A restricted deletion ledger outside the member database prevents deleted accounts from reappearing after a supported backup restore. Pending cleanup records contain only the internal reference and storage object keys needed to finish erasure; completed ledger records expire after 90 days. Restores older than the supported retention window require operator review and remain blocked. You can instead hide your profile temporarily in Account settings and resume it later; this does not delete your data.

Backups and email-provider records are separate from the active account. Backups expire under the hosting provider’s retention settings. The restore guard reapplies deletion requests before restored member data or automated emails can be used. Already-sent emails and copies held by recipients cannot be recalled. Delivery records retained by our email provider follow that provider’s retention policy. We do not claim that deleting an account instantly removes those external copies.

You can permanently delete your account under Account → Settings by confirming your password. This removes your profile, photos, private selfies, shortlists, invitations, connections, blocks and contact verification records, and signs out all devices. Queued automated emails are cancelled and their stored content is erased. Reports you submitted about other profiles may retain their moderation status and outcome, but their report text, review note and link to your account are removed. We keep a deletion receipt, internal account reference and request/completion timestamps for 90 days to verify deletion and reconcile a backup restore; this record contains no name, email, phone, public member ID, photo or profile content and is then automatically erased. Contact details already seen or copied by others cannot be recalled.

Rules for members

• You must be 18 or older, and the details must be true.
• If you register for a relative, you must have their permission.
• Do not put phone numbers, emails or links in profile text. Contact details are shared by the service after both sides accept.
• Be respectful. Never ask for money, gifts or bank details, and never pressure anyone.
• We may hide or remove profiles that break these rules, are fake, or are reported and found unsafe.
• We help families meet. We cannot promise a match. Admin review does not verify identity, age, background or the accuracy of every profile detail. Meet in public, bring family, and make your own checks.

City search data and credits

Worldwide city suggestions use Open-Meteo and GeoNames data under CC BY 4.0. We format city, state and country into a location label. The city search text is sent through our server to Open-Meteo; member names, contact details and browser IP addresses are not included in that request.
